Precursor to Alpha-bits Cereal?

If it's good enough for Shirley, it's good enough for me.

Ultimate Warrior was always my favorite growing up, then of course, the Hulkster.

Eww.

Mmm, rice Chex with marshmallows. Free trading card? Awesome.

There is a more modern version of this cereal out there now, I think.

Those arrows seem a little phallic to me.

I like this one.

Honey Combs with marshmallows?

Nothing like wood for breakfast.

Do you remember the cartoon based on the movie? Well here is the cereal based on the cartoon based on the movie.

I could see how those would be good.

If they are any thing like Waffle Crisp, then I'm sure they are delicious.

I like Captain Crunch. It was a popular myth growing up that Captain Crunch had fiber glass in it, and that's why it cut the roof of your mouth.

This one looks so 80's to me.

  1. hey, those raisin squares look like "Toppas Traube". According to Kellogs, "Bundled whole grain wheat with a fruity grape filling. The breakfast which bundles all the power of whole grain wheat." (my translation from German, and read raisins for "grape"- "Trauben" are grapes, but especially in food can be raisins).

Don't knock them, they are tasty. I think the modern ones look a bit better. There are also regular Toppas, no filling but a sugar crust on one side - these might be Mini-Wheats of some sort.

Don't they sell the raisin ones in the U.S. anymore?

  2. I don't believe they do, no. They used to have more than just grape too, like strawberry. The strawberry ones were actually quite good.

  5. What about some more recent ones (although I did love Rocky Road cereal) like Fruity Pebbles? Or Cinnamon Mini Buns? The other monster cereals like Boo-Berries?

  6. My aunt always had those Sprinkle Spangles at her house. I remember them being really yummy dry, but really disgusting when milk was added.

    And berry berry Kix? Yum.

  10. S'mores Crunch and Rocky Road were sooo good! I can't believe my parents bought them. I had forgotten about them.

  11. I remember Morning Funnies cereal. It tasted like if the makers of Fruit Stripe gum made a cereal - the fruit flavor goes away within 10 seconds and the little smiley faces were hard as rock & sharp as hell. My mouth would feel like I just ate fruity glass. There would be comic strips on the back of the box which were cool except you had to keep reading the same one over until you finished the god-awful cereal...and because it was cheap, my mom kept buying it.

  15. Cereals way back then are a lot healthier than today. The main reason why, I think, people need to drink some supplementary vitamins to keep a healthy lifestyle.

  16. That's right, Rosie. There are cereals that are really good for our body's overall circulation. Especially those which are fiber and calcium-riched one.

  17. Wow! I remember some of these back when I was a child, especially the hot wheels edition of Kelloggs. I would love to have it again if ever they are making it available in the public, I'll go order some just to reminisce my childhood.
