A telephone booth, telephone kiosk, telephone call box or telephone box is a small structure furnished with a payphone and designed for a telephone user's convenience. In the USA, Canada and Australia, "telephone booth" is used, while in the UK and the rest of the Commonwealth it is a "telephone box" or "phone box". Such a booth usually has a door to provide privacy and a window to let others know if the booth is in use.

The TARDIS didn't even make the top 50? Now THAT'S one cool phone booth!
ReplyDeleteYou're right. I'm sure Dr. Who is spinning in his grave. What have I done???
ReplyDeleteman, that first colorfull one is not an umbrella, but a berimbau, a brazilian musical instrument made of wood, a string and a cabaça. It´s used at capoeira, a traditional type of figth that we have since slavery time. It´s very common in Bahia, although it was born in Rio.
ReplyDeleteAnd that gigant one is very near my house (actually, I've made a few calls in it)..
The Tardis is a police booth...not a phone booth.
