Got these here pictures in my e-mail. Pretty neat, considering there was no such thing as a chain saw back then. I hear it took two or three days to bring a tree of this size down. Also the pictures of a truck made out of a tree is pretty impressive. Yeah, of course it's sad to see these big, ancient trees being cut down, but that was the cost of progress back then.
