26 Unique Bike Racks

I personally don't ride bikes, I find them too childish, so I just stick to my razor scooter, or ask my wife for a ride in the minivan. But, if I were to ride a bike, I certainly wouldn't want to park it in some boring bike rack. No, no. I'd park my back on one of these unique bike racks:

Bench and a rack.
Looks like Spongbob seaweed.
In front of a coffee shop.
Finally the Vikings have a place for their bikes.
To use this rack, you slide your bike into the rails and then slide the metal seat cover firmly down onto your seat. The attached wire is run through the bike frame and through the slot on the post. Using your own lock, you secure the bike.
Ooo la la.
Not really sure why there is a hand using a mouse connected to the USA.
Shark.
Snake.
Gets the tangles out of your spokes.
He is so photogenic.
The death of the jack in the box.
Keeps theives from (get ready) wisking your bike away!

  1. I don't even think I would realize some of those were bike racks if I passed by them. I like the red one though.

  7. Wow, pretty crazy cool stuff! I'm new to blogger and I just created a blog myself. It is no way near as cool as yours just yet. My first blog is of me talking about an incident in a library. Come check it out please and give me some feedback.

  8. @Corky, nope I didn't take them myself. Cleveland, Ohio is short on unique bike racks. And really, it's short on just about everything nice.

  10. Yo nice post! Very hipster haha. I'm surprised you didn't post the famous Kensington Market bike rack in Toronto. Google it, I'm sure you'll love it.

  11. Davis is well known for their abundance of bikes, yet we have none of these amazingly artistic bike racks. It would definitely beautify/hipster-ize our campus if we had some.

The coffee and kettle are super cute, and the metal one with the rails and the seat cover is so thief-proof. I really like the clean, sophisticated look to the white bench and metal arcs.

    This is an awesome post.

  12. Where can I get more information on the bike rack that looks like yellow paint driping up.

  13. Thanks.

Sadly some of these racks are impractical. Either they do not provide enough space to lock two bikes side-by-side, or they encourage locking only by the front wheel, which is insecure and can damage your bike.

  15. A daypack or messenger bag is good, but some of your best gear-carrying options are baskets or bags that fit on your bike.
